This book isn't just for little girls, boys will love it just as well. It is full of fun, humor, some lessons, and the importance of pride and commitment. The hand drawn illustrations added so much to this charming book. Every little fairy had a cute name. I know that sometimes the reader feels that there has to be a plot to the book. I don't think with children's books, there doesn't necessarily have to be a plot. It can just be entertaining with cute illustrations and some little lessons put in. I felt this book allowed the reader to use their imagination and that is so important when it comes to children. They have to form that imagination early in life. I found that this book would be a great little book to read or be read to as a bedtime story. The story is about a little town called Junkett Falls. The author tells of what goes on in this little town and about the different fairies and how they fit it. The fairies live in jewelry boxes. Different pieces of jewelry mean different things. Jewelry pieces that looked like animals were actually the fairies' animals. Everyone loves the make believe of fairies. If you have a jewelry box at home, be careful when you open in from now on. A little fairy may be in there sitting on top of a butterfly pin. Have you ever wondered why your necklaces and chains are always in a jumbled mess? Could it be one of those ornery little fairies playing tricks? You will never look at your jewelry box the same way ever again.
