A really solid cookie recipe book for beginners. The book is well structured with a clickable table of contents and index, a conversion chart is provided for ingredient quantities, and the recipes are presented in a step-by-step guide that uses simple language.While the first section of the book is very much for beginners, the last chapters provide some challenging recipes for biscotti that are double baked and elaborate dessert bars.
The "tips" section of the book is also very useful, for example, i had no idea that baking sheets used for cookies should be polished metal as opposed to darker metals to ensure the bottoms of cookies are not overcooked.
If i had to nitpick i would have liked more pics in the book, then again this is not a $15 book.
