I enjoyed books 1 and 2 in this series but this one just felt...scattered about...for lack of a better term. This has been a great series until this book. It almost felt like someone else started writing about half way through the book. His character development until now has been VERY GOOD! But this one just lacked that character development. Hence, it felt like someone else started writing half way through,I do recommend the series though. I'm moving on to Book 4. The settings are very realistic and true to the Great State!

I bought the book because I am living in Nome Alaska and found it when searching for stories about the area and the people!
Yes, for all of us Alaska wilderness lovers this is a book to read. Add the trials of State Trooper Nathan Active and it makes an good read.
This isn't my favorite of his Nathan Active books. Decide for yourself; but it's worth a read. Books 1 & 2 were really good and 4 was better.
I did not like this book.
I really like Stan John's Nathan Active Mysteries. He has a way of making you part of the village. I'll enjoy reading more of Nathan's adventures.
Stan Jones spins a very interesting story while keeping the mystery moving. This is the third Nathan Active book I've read and they just keep getting better. He paints a great narrative of what it's like to live in Alaska.
